More black children basically become wards of the state through programs such as nutrition assistance and section 8 housing Usually they are raised by a mother only and they seek power and a sense of belonging to something so they gravitate toward gangs and criminal activity. This breeds the mindset of we are owed something and because society has dealt us a bad hand we are justified in taking what we should rightly have through any means necessary. It is not the race itself that creates a propensity toward violence but rather the culture within the race that fuels it. The fact that other races do not take to rioting, looting and destroying property when they feel a social injustice has been perpetrated upon them leads to the perception they are violent people. Their socio-economic status is a huge part of that but government has done nothing but exacerbate the feelings of despair and hopelessness.Love him or hate him but Ben Carson recognized the path he was on, saw an episode of potential violent behavior within him and decided to change course. It kinda worked out well for him and there are many more that could follow in his path if they only decided to do it
