Too Early?

You get a pass, just about, I'd say. Some twats around my way have had theirs up for two weeks already. Nobody's that fucking merry, they ain't fooling me.

Only 2 weeks? The stores around here have have the artificial trees up since before Halloween.

my neighbor had their tree up the day after halloween

For me its to early if its anytime before Thanksgiving. That said, its your tree and you can put it up whenever you wish. But my problem is I don't see me present under the tree.

There's a difference between buying it and putting it up though. They've been selling mince pies in certain branches of Tesco over here since the start of fucking September. It's sick.

Don't get me wrong, it's not the merriness I appose. It's not preserving the magic and stretching it out for six ****** weeks.

And partially, I appose the merriness.

no.. im waiting on pins and needles for my lot to put their trees out.

this late thanksgiving **** sucks. also, my lights have been up for a couple of weeks.

You are right that there's a difference between buying a tree and putting it up, but who's gonna buy a tree and then put it away for a few weeks? They're gonna go ahead and put it up, and the stores are encouraging such an early start by even offering them so early.

And it's not just Christmas, the stores around here are all well onto the next holiday before the nearest one has even gotten here yet. It's just Christmas seems to be the worst, and they start earlier and earlier each year, and relegate everything else to barely mentioned or only on calendars.

Well, since it's the season :

"In an SPC poll, 38% said they were fed up and tired of the holiday, 5% said they were indifferent to it, and a whopping 57% said they would kick Bon Jovi square in the balls if given the opportunity."

A long time ago my ****** just quit putting a Christmas tree up.

It was a fantastic decision in my opinion. Just eliminating the hassle of having to clean up and take care of it was worth it, not to mention all the other problems having them cause.

Does it make you happy? Then who gives a ****? I probably won't do one again this year. Gonna take the **** out of town and have some memories that money can't buy.

I'm putting up my tree sometime this coming week, without decorations. I want to see if the kitten is going to knock it over or leave it alone before I put the decorations on it. ;-)

She's kind of shady.
