Today I learned: Mountain Dew was created to be a mixer for moonshine

No wonder this stuff is so prominent and loved in the south. Not to stereotype, but I've never met a southerner who didn't like Mt. Dew.

I'm southern (the philippines) and I like it too. Though I'm not sure it goes well with bourbon, yet.

Sorry ani but Mountain Dew is more popular in California and up north.

Sun Drop is the drink around here. My dad used to mix it with Ancient Age.

It is a regional soft drink. Not sure it reaches west of the Mississippi.

It is awesome.

Lightinin' bugs, pines and sunday school. nostalgia.

BC, you ever been to Gatlinburg, TN? That place was like Disneyland to me when I was a kid.

A couple of my buddies that now live elsewhere order it or take cases of it with them when they visit.

The only thing that goes with bourbon, is a little ice....and if you need to mix your bourbon, you should buy better bourbon.
