To be a porn director

A friend of mine has a degree in cinema, he can't find a job.
I told him that instead of wasting time trying to make something in the mainstream he could think about the option to work in the adult industry.
Actually I still wonder if this is a good advice.:spump:

Considering a lot of directors in the industry, the actual skill level needed for the job is something a monkey must be practically able to do. I wouldn't advise it for your friend. There would be too much competition already in an area where actual skill doesn't matter that much, and it's an industry where things like job security and success are fleeting things.

In another words if for some reason he does somehow get into it he better have a plan to be able to jump out of it into something else quickly if need be.

I think it sure is. Porn is one of the major industries worldwide. So why not give it a shot? :dunno:

Well don't watch Zack and Miri make a porno to learn that.

Double Post!

<This upgrade still sucks!>

It worked out OK for Billy Walsh/Wally Balls. :D

From what one of the OCSM's posted, there is actually more crossover (back & forth) from mainstream to adult, with respect to crew, than we realize. I don't know about directors, but a cameraman is a cameraman is a cameraman, correct? Unless you're best friends with James Cameron or you've won some sort of award, wouldn't you just take the paying gigs that are available to you? :dunno:
