yo dude it not that hard in fact contra was one of the easier games of that time the thing thats happened is games nowadays are so f**king easy i am sure the they don't want them to last long than a week at most so you buy more games. that also why when games like fallout and fable and stuff with hours and hours of play are always nicely recivced !!
Dont think i could do it nowadays but as a *** i use to play contra two players on my own on the snes or was it the nes. one controller in the hand and the other one the floor player with by the toes ha ha the good old days.

Maybe thats the problem then. Games today are to easy. I know I'm spoiled by em. Game gets tough, I save it and come back when I calm down. That and I don't have the patience to deal with that **** again. Playing and dying just to start over at the beginning pisses me off now. When I was young its all I knew so it didn't bother me to much...
Yes my friend,it would make a good movie.
That game was frikkin hard,I had to either use the code to get 30 lives or play with a partner who was good as me.
Games these days are no fun,they require too much thinking and planning and stuff.
Bring back the shooter days,when it was all fun. Unlimited ammo,one hit *****,etc.:glugglug:
