I can agree with your overall point: the notion of abolishing all law enforcement is lunacy. This fad or movement will pass once another crisis grabs the attention of cable news and its viewers. Just recall a few years ago when there were movements to put more of a police presence in schools. Now, several large urban school districts have terminated their contracts with local police. It is a natural ebb and flow.

Yeah, we talk about this all the time in family circles / circle of friends about how the incident of the moment will get milked to infinity and beyond ... until another incident / scandal / situation replaces it.

At their particular times, it seemed like the Mueller Investigation, Impeachment, Caravans, Migrants allegedly drinking out of toilets, #Weinstein MeToo Sex Molestations, Automatic Weapons, O'Rourke, etc. would EVER go away. But, they all eventually do once a new flavor comes out.

Covid-19 hasn't gone away YET, but it's been forced to share the stage with the riots and the current epidemic of demanding to rename everything that is deemed remotely offensive, racist or politically incorrect.

Never was into KROQ. You remember KMET 94.7? We had KNAC 105.5 which was our Metal FM Station. I don't really listen to KLOS 95.5 anymore as I use my iPhone iTunes more for music.
