The 2004 Ferrari F1 race car did 0-60 in about 2.5 seconds

and there are other high tech tuned cars that do it in under 3.0 seconds

These are about the same times as a big road motorcycle.
Ford Cosworths have turned in better times than many of these.

a friend of mine actually got the chance to test drive the Evo. He said the boost on it sucked. you accelerate and it hesitates for a few seconds before it kicks in.

all of these cars are so pointless, when is the owner of the car going to be somewhere were he/she will get the car up to the top speeds it can go

the only place that comes to mind where these vehicles can open up is the Autobahn in Germany. i drove a mercedes S65 AMG on it this past summer. i alomst had to change my underwear after that experience lol

One of my favs is the 1987 Buick Grand National GNX, factory stock would run 0-60 in 4.7 seconds.

As I said before, these figures are commonplace for large sports motorcycles straight from the showroom floor.

but, it is more impressive to get a larger/heavier object to go that fast. I'd rather drive a car when it is raining and I can't carry my golf clubs on a bike.

Until a few months ago I owned a car that did about 200 mph...

and I got it regularly to more than 160 mph on German streets
