'White Man's Curse' was the contributing factor in the wider acceptance of a 19th century line of reasoning and later action, that would in time more commonly become known as 'White Man's Burden' after a publication by Rudyard Kipling of the same name. For you see this would never have come about if it were not for the great and the good that we now call the industrial revolution. Some may say, now that this has come to light now that the Luddites of old were correct in the line of reasoning they proposed and they would indeed be correct in this assessment.
