The dynamic for the mid terms is far different than 2016. Nationally GOP candidates are doing well and is an accurate bellwether. I could be wrong, but I doubt that I am.

I never said that republicans wouldn't win the white house again. I've always said that politics and the economy are cyclical, every 10~20 years the same BS repeats because the sheeple on both sides don't remember the past and are conned into repeating the same political and economic BS fads.
Most of this crap isn't new, it's just repackaged BS, and because most people are suckers they fall for the same con over and over.
Power is always corrupt, it isn't left vs right, it's rich vs poor. The corrupt rich minority have continuously gotten richer at everyone else's expense.
