Originally this movie was to have been spoken in Norwegian to add dare I say in Hollyweird.......realism. It should've been and it could've done something new to make it more claustrophobic than the 1951 film. However, as usual the audience nowadays doesn't care about dialogue or the story(most watching have never seen the 1982 or 1951 films), so all they want is CGI porn set in a boring "Arctic" base which we've seen umpteen times in other movies blah blah blah. In other words yet another piece of sheisse from the idiots at Hollyweird.



The prequel idea has merits but it should've been done by a group of "The Thing" fanatics.

I loved the '80s version (even though it actually did piss poor at the box office) because it reminded me of The Twilight Zone. But this trailer is shameful. It is the same exact thing but it looks like it is inexplicably recent technology-wise.

I think the Rob Bottin practical special effects in the Carpenter movie are amazing, and have stood up well.

Much better than an overuse of CGI.

3. It'll probably have lousy CGI instead of awesome animatronics.

Yup. Sure did! Read it twice actually, and it still screams of post whoring, but thankfully you're finally catching on and figured out that condensing down to a single thread for trailers, so other's could comment of course and post videos in that they are interested in, is much more, shall we say, efficient.
