But I live in a state that has had about 3 republican governors in the past 100 years and only once was the NC house of representatives and senate controlled by the republicans. Do I find people from a regressive state to be smart? Considering the fact that they have voted for democrat control for 95 percent of the past century, not really. But I can at least lay the blame for the 'regression" squarely at their feet. C'est la vie. As for our educational system, Even president Obama lauds UNC as being one of the top universities in the country. Could the state's public schools stand some improvement? You betcha, and who controlled the budget for public schools in NC all these years? You got it, the democrats.

My parents worked hard and saw to it that my education was through private schools. I have visited Colorado several times in my life and it is beautiful there, Hell! Even our own Sammy Fisher lives there which has to be a source of anguish for you because you haven't found a way to eradicate cretins such as him from your progressive mecca.

Believe me, you have lots more work to do because there are a lot more there like him.

Not to mention that two of the worst mass ******* in U.S. history have happened in Colorado. I suggest you get out more, see the world and visit our fine state. You'll have to ignore the trailer parks from time to time but find your way out to Cape Hatteras and enjoy the coastline and historic light houses. Drive up to Asheville and hang out with the hipsters and forward thinking progressives there, you'll think you were in Berkeley or even visit Chapel Hill where I spent 7 years of my life. You'll find like minded people there all day long.

More importantly, grow a thicker skin. The politics forum has plenty of disagreement and even those that I disagree with I usually like. Ad hominem attacks aren't very becoming.
