This is referring to impacted wisdom teeth, and specifically in New York. That's costly. I actually priced it out. At most places it's about $2,000 for all four in NY under those circumstances. Unless of course the sources I looked at were wrong. It was a quick look, not an in depth search... :dunno:

Wow! Get it done in Canada lol. I had a wisdom tooth out a few months ago and my dentist said I had to impacted ones that should come out. He won't do them though (only did my emergency one) and referred me to the only dentist in town that will do it. From what I remember, I believe the quote was $300 (including anesthesia I am pretty sure, but like I said, I'll double check).

Oh yeah, I did really want to be put to sleep but they said they can't do that. I don't know why, but I don't have much of a choice. It's either go to a different dentist and empty my entire bank account, or stay there and deal with it the way it is for cheaper.

Maybe you should ask why, and tell them you're nervous about being awake for the procedure. They might be able to find a way to manage it since frequently when people say something "can't" be done often what they mean is that it's "inconvenient". With some pressure they might be able to swing it.

Yeah right, get it done in Canada! That's a thought.

Hey it would be a fun trip :p

It's not that people don't care. It's an extremely difficult habit to break. Hell, smoking is undoubtedly the prime reason I have gum disease and that hasn't stopped me. It's a great incentive to quit, but even if I didn't have this issue I would still want to quit.

When you have that surgery, that will be the perfect time to attempt to quit. That's how i quit the 1st time. It took just once to light one up and i started again. Don't light up ! Also, your boyfriend might want oral so what better incentive or reason huh ?

Yeah I dunno about tooth extractions costing anywhere around thousands of dollars. That would be absolutely insane. I'd be tempted to knock them out myself. It's usually no more than $200 per tooth, and even at that I've never heard of it going above that. I don't have insurance either so it's not less costly because of that, it's just the standard pricing without insurance. Perhaps it depends on whether or not you're getting put to sleep, as that can be very costly.

Yep, I meant the front of my mouth. Front bottom left side. There's a nerve below your bottom wisdom tooth that runs all along beneath all of your teeth to the front side of your jaw. So that's where the nerve is affected, apparently, according to the dentist who's doing the procedure on me. He's not a student dentist either, thank god for that, I'm so glad it's a real dentist at the school.

Nothing is cheap at a dentist.

Getting teeth pulled and maybe being sore for a day or two, just don't smoke. You Might not want to anyway. As for gum disease, could be painful if you don't do something about it. You're too young for that.

fap fap fap

Ooo even better in a foreign language. Even whispering, "Can you take out the trash?" can sound sexy in French.
