I don't think there is a reason anymore not to own both systems. Both of them have great exclusives. The 360 has Mass Effect, Halo, Fable, etc. The PS3 has MGS4, Killzone, LittlebigPlanet, etc. Anyone who says they will only own a 360 or PS3 are robbing themselves of some of the best games in the history of gaming.

Its a great franchise but is overrated. Its not a complete shooter like Call of duty,Killzone or Medal of honor for the simple fact that Halo's multiplayer only appeals to the diehards.

Ummmm, there's a ton of people out there that simply can't afford both systems and all its games. Especially the way the times have been these days. There's a ton of hokey games on Kinect and the thing is going to be $149?.....that simply sucks,period.

The PS3 is this generation's N64. There are some solid games on the system (and I can't complain about a new Twisted Metal) but most are first-party and Sony seems to be doing everything else wrong.

And I've gotta finally get a Wii and replace my old DS...

At this point in time in their life cycles and after Xbox and Ps3 conferences with all the sweet announcements, if you could only have 1 console what would it be? Is there really a solid reason to have an xbox 360 over a ps3 right now? I can't think of one.....

It really just comes down to your personal preference in games. If you're more of a Killzone fan or Twisted Metal fan, (I'm really excited for the new one) then you're probably inclined to like the PS3. If you like the Microsoft exclusives, you're bound to like the 360. The exclusives seems to balance out sales-wise between the systems, so at this point, it's really just what exclusives you prefer.

It is. But unfortunately, it's one of the biggest cash grabbers in the entire industry. While I don't really like to admit it, Halo will be tough for Sony to counter.

God damn, the number one game I wanted to hear about was announced! I freakin loved Twisted Metal Black and TM2 so this new one has me so amazingly excited!!!!!!


From what I have read, the 3DS has been blowing people away. It's definitely got me intrigued. Would love to demo it.

Also can't wait for Goldeneye (by the way, why isn't the original available on the virtual console for wii yet!?) and the next Zelda. Noticed Miyamoto was having troubles with the controls so hopefully that gets perfected (not really buying the "interference" excuse)

Of the three consoles' presentations, I'd say Nintendo definitely won

Medal of honor and Ghost Recon both look pretty damn good to me.....

Oh and did you see that interview on G4? David Jaffe, creator of Twisted metal, wants to fuck Olivia Munn senseless over the Tiger Woods 11 booth. Why there? Idk, cause with that game you can do skins and stroke play all in a hole in one......

GoldenEye isn't on the Virtual Console because it was made by Rare (who are owned by Microsoft), licenced by Nintendo, and the rights to 007 video games are currently held by Activision. There is too much legal stuff that gets in the way. Both Microsoft and Nintendo would want the game on their systems. Considering Perfect Dark made it to Xbox Live, I don't know why GoldenEye hasn't.

lachemo, to answer your question, I like both the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 for many different reasons.

I love that the PS3 has Blu-Ray capabilities, and their exclusive games are amongst my favorites of all time. God of War 1, 2, and 3 plus Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Among Thieves are my five fav games of all time. This is of course, my opinion, but I love all of those games. With God of War, the story, art, gameplay value, and in some aspects it could be considered an RPG game. With Uncharted I love the story, how its a little puzzle solving, climbing, cut-screne, and most importanly shoot em up, all put into one.

With the XBOX 360, I like it because many of my friends have it, and if I ever take it to their houses, we can system link or play online and play co-op in many different games. I use it as my second CD player, as some of my music is put on it. My most important music really. My favorite games for the system are: Gears of War 1 and 2, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Saints Row 2, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I love the exclusives for this system as well. Gears Of War and Left 4 Dead are amongst my fav games of all time.

When it comes to games being released for both systems, I check with friends first to see what system they are getting it on, so I can make a choice if I want to face them or be on their team on the same console or just do my own thing on a different system. It usually comes down to playing with or against my friends, but since many of my friends have XBOX 360 and I don't have live, for many of my games now, I'm just gonna go with the PS3.

I'm just thankful I have both a PS3 and XBOX 360, so I can buy the exclusives for both systems, and have the annoying choice of what system to get the game for if it is a multi-console game.

Sorry for the long reply, I have turned into a hardcore gamer, and I can type or talk for hours about the subject.

whats this shit im reading that you have to stand up 100% of the time to use xbox kinect? Something about the hardware having trouble reading ones skeletal frame while they are sitting down......this sounds like an issue to me.

I don't think it is that easy. I'm pretty sure the reason this game is essentially a remake with Daniel Craig instead of a port of the original because Activision wouldn't technically need Rare's approval to make it since Activision owns the rights to the series. If they wanted to port the original, they'd need to talk to all four parties and work something out.

But on the other hand, I admit I have no idea what I'm talking about.

And while I'm talking about GoldenEye, wouldn't it be sweet if the All Bonds cheat made it in this time?

Portal 2 is looking damn good, same for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. I thought Gabe Newell of VALVe coming on during Sony's press conference to announce that Portal 2 would be coming to the ps3 was pretty big. Kinda disappointed that there has been no news about Half Life 2 Episode 3 yet.

I've been worried about that since the first project was announced. But then again, that's more of a general technology fault at this point, not one specific to Microsoft. Also, I'm wondering why Microsoft didn't push that Milo demo out during E3, seems really bizarre to me.
