The Mysterious Facebook "Poke"

I recently "poked" a few girls that I was interested in on Facebook just to see what would happen. I know them all personally, but not that well. Two of them poked back, one didn't. Do you think this means that they are interested too, or is it just meaningless social network interaction?

I don't know about facey spaceys, but if you get "poked" on Freeones you'd best run to the STD clinic to get checked out. :nannerf1:

The poke function on Facebook is useless.. I have like 500 pokes.. I don't even bother looking at them because there's really no point in the whole thing.. At all.
:dunno:

Yeah, agree with Nikki on this one. Anyone can poke anyone. The only way to find out for sure if these girls are DTF is to meet them in person. :2 cents:

The poke on Facebook likely means as much as the rep on FreeOnes.

:2 cents:

That can go two ways, the poke is meaningless.

Or.

The girl didn't reply because she took her own life on account of the emotional distress she received through the intrusion of the bump into her perfect little bubble of a world where she is always right, you are always wrong and its her right as a woman not to poke back.

I'm not worried about the one that didn't poke back. Just wondering about the ones that did.

It's a useless function. If they poked you back it's likely just oh he poked me I should poke him back so not to be rude. The one who didn't is the smart one She knows its a useless function but thats just my:2 cents:

Some people poke others on Facebook just to see if they are active. Kind of like taking a stick and poking it into some dead guy's eye.

The two that poked back are up for it, obviously. I mean why else would they even interact with another human being on a social networking site unless they were moist between their thighs and on the look out for something to sit on?

*EDIT* Sorry, Blue, but we can't even joke about that.

I figured it was probably meaningless. I mean, if they had sent me a message back saying "hi" then maybe they might be interested. I just thought it couldn't hurt to try and see what happened.

If they send you pictures of their dripping snatches filled with enormous foreign objects, they're interested.

Otherwise, they're probably just being polite.
