The Mistral Show

ok if there is anyone else like me who thought hip-hop was dead thanks to Eminem, 50 cent and lil John, then check out the new lil brother album! On one of the songs they even call out 50 and G-Unit about how all of there songs are about the same thing Money and Cars. If your a true hip-hop head at heart then buy this album, but if you like the mainstream every song is about money cars and girls then please stay away.

hip hop is not dead but marketing kills it slowly :(
don't listen all the bad things you can watch on mtv and heard in the radio
here are some artits that I like :
2pac, 50cents, Cypress Hill, De la Soul, Gangstarr, Herbalizer, Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince, Miss Dynamite, Razhel, roots manuva, RZA, The Roots, The streets, Will.I.Am.
also listen some good DJs :
DJ Craze & DJ Klever, DJ Format, DJ Qbert, DJ shadow, Rob Swift, X-Ecutioners, ...
some stuff are quite old but music never dies :)
also you should take a look to french hip-hop : Assassin, Saïan Supa Crew, Svinkels, NTM, ...
:pimpdaddy

if ur interested in people dissin 50 and g unit make sure you listen to more of D Block Records, and Black Wallstreet records (the games record label)

300 bars and runnin - take that 50 and g unit

I really like Kanye West, Common, Mos Def, and John Legend. Legend is really underrated and just like the previously mentioned artists, raps without a record label exec. in his ear telling him about marketing and commercialization.

Rap is not dead, but you would think it got shot 9 times thanks to 50 Cent.

i hate rap and hip hop music, so to me it is dead.
but everyone likes a different genre so to each their own

rap is short for crap.

Talib Kweli is another artist in rap who is singing with a message....we can go on and on about good and bad sides of rap....but I'd prefer it that way. Just saying "I hate rap" leaves you as open minded as the "gansta thuggin", "cap in ya ass" rappers who we all hate for womanizing and leaving the worst image as rolemodels.

Tell me, why do you hate it...I don't enjoy all rap...but I still can enjoy the beats and lyrics of a few artists.

Sorry Peter and Juballs...but those posts are quite pointless....tell me why you hate them. If you say yoiu never heard it, never wanna...I won't except the answer.
