The Johan appreciation thread

We give more in foreign aid than any other country.

That's a fact, and certainly deserving of recognition (even though naturally a lot of that aid is self-serving)

It boils down to envy. Pure and simple.

I'm pretty sure France and Germany (for example) aren't envious over not being part of our fiasco in Iraq.
...and have every right to comment on how it has affected not only themselves, but the rest of the planet.

fiasco is what it was. promote democracy throughout the middle east - the Obama administration repeated the same mistake principally with Libya and our support of the overthrow of the Egyptian and Syrian regimes. so overall lesson not learned by our former professor-in-chief.

and thank goodness for us the Egyptian military course-corrected, or Israel would be occupying the Sinai again, if not the whole of Egypt.

He only posts shit he reads from left wing sites and his interest in American politics is because he wants the USA to become Euro socialist. Fuck him and his jaunty beret.

Sometimes I amuse myself :1orglaugh
That said, I appreciate Johan for the fact that he epitomizes Euro liberal thought around here.

^ this guy impresses the hell out of myself.

anecdote: my 5th grade science teacher once asked our class how men and women were different beyond the obvious or something to that effect. I raised my hand and said "women can take more pain" at which point all the boys including some of my friends started laughing at me. I remember the look on my teacher's face (Mr. Ames) as he asked me to explain. I simply pointed out child birth and that grin on his face and that look of pride I will never forget. Now no one had ever had that talk with me at that point. I just kind of gathered. Not to toot my own horn, but toot.

cool breach story.

oh yeah, Johan, I like him.

Yeah, animus was a good one. Too bad he got caught up in that revenge sweep.
I have always known you have an above average intelligence. Education be damned. A former porn star that has been taking pot shots at me lately is intelligent as well and she didn’t make it past the eighth grade she says. Just misguided.
There is a man that I heard on the radio the other day, that is the CEO of a Fortune 500 company that says he will not hire college graduates and that non college grads heads are not screwed up after 4-6-8 years of indoctrination.

As usual, your grasp of logic is laughably feeble. Child birth is a painful thing that only women can experience. How does it prove that women have a higher pain threshold than men? There's no cause and effect there. Countless studies have been done on pain tolerance between the sexes and the results range from "women have a lower threshold of pain" to "about the same".

You might as well say people who have been shot or stabbed or been in horrific car accidents have a higher tolerance for pain because of the trauma they've been through.
