Hi folks,

We'll be conducting a review of this part of the forum over the next few months with a view to improving users' experience of it.

We've got to start somewhere, so we've chosen to group together all of the various threads which relate to content from specific porn websites. e.g. All Over 30

You will notice a new sub-section at the top of this part of the forum where all of these threads reside. Please let us know if we've missed any!

Moving threads into their own "bucket" makes it easier to concentrate on what we've got left to sort through so these new sub-sections won't necessarily exist in the long-term, they are just there as a means of helping us organize everything in the short-term.

The plan is to create a sticky in this section which acts as an index of threads listed out by each category/niche but if people like the sub-sections, they can be left in.

We also plan to create a clear distinction within the first post of each thread (if one does not already exist) which clearly states what the purpose of the thread is for so that everyone knows what that topic is intended for and so that it doesn't stray off course in the way a lot of topics have done over time.

Before we go any further, I would just like to make it clear that IT IS OK FOR MULTIPLE THREADS ON THE SAME NICHE/FETISH TO EXIST AS LONG AS THEY ARE UNIQUE TO EACH OTHER IN SOME WAY

So, what we'd like you to do is simply:

1) report any threads you see or know of that are the same or similar (ie. threads which don't need to co-exist)
2) post links to threads which fall under the umbrella of any of the themes listed below

Nationalities / Ethnicities
Locations / Landmarks
Age groups
Clothing & Acessories
Poses, facial expressions, posture & camera angles
Sex positions / sexual acts
Retro / Classic / Vintage

Note: Our index will be more detailed and nuanced than this, but these 9 sections represent a good starting point.

The upshot of all this should be that users:

can easily find threads of interest based on theme either using sub-sections, the index that will be created, or both ✅
are able to prevent the creation of duplicate threads in the future, as well as making it easier to see what threads don't already exist ✅
post what they are supposed to in any given thread, with what the thread is for clearly outlined in the opening post ✅
are left with a nice, clean & tidy, organized Niche and Fetish Corner! ✅

Yep, like I said in the original post... they can be left in there if people like it. There will be plenty of time between now and the time I'm ready to ask people what they think of it for folks to get used to it and/or form an opinion one way or the other.

It is just the first stage of the sorting process but it may well be something that sticks. We'll see. I do agree with you though that things are much more organized this way, even though it's not finished yet.

There are nearly 700 pages worth of threads in this section at the time of writing which haven't yet been assigned a category but many of them will be so old that nobody has responded to them in years and are full of dead links and/or don't actually belong in this section and may well end up being archived off or moved to a more appropriate location.

Thanks. I don't wanna overthink it at this stage as the first phase is just to group threads into appropriate buckets with a view to further scrutiny later down the line.

But I don't wanna end up with too many categories, nor do I wanna end up with to many sub-categories within main categories, although I think it is an inevitability that there will have to be at least some.

So if anyone is worried about that, don't be. Once every thread has been assigned a category, it will be easier to review everything and decide what could go where.

Anything I stick in PLEASE HELP US DECIDE WHERE TO PUT THESE! will be stuff I either don't know what it is about on the face of it or can't find or think of a suitably named category for it... so any suggestions for threads which you find in here are welcome. Anything that sits within the current categories hasn't been processed yet.

Similar threads exist like this in FreeOnes Talk so we need to decide what defines a Talk thread from a Niche thread.

I'd say if it's discussion then talk is the place for it whereas if it's just posting pics and vids, then niche/fetish is the place for it.

Mostly went with your suggestions but I think kissing is perhaps worthy of its own thing and/or separate to all-things sex related because whilst it generally comes hand-in-hand with sex, it doesn't necessarily. Maybe romance should be it's own section, come to think of it. ie. candlelit dinners, holding hands etc.

Not sure about babes being carried falling under 'activities' either... it's kind of like a pose, too - although not quite.

Some things might be best to sit there until a suitably named category comes up in the future.

The Activities, Hobbies, Games & Sports bit as it is currently named is intended for stuff like drawing, writing, playing chess, tennis and stuff like that.

That's the thing, though - words can have double meanings or people can perceive it to mean something that isn't intended, so people are welcome to suggest alternative phrasing for anything.

e.g. I've used the word roleplay in with Jobs & Occupations as in someone playing the role of being a delivery girl or whatever but people can assume that means sexual roleplay which again might have some correlation but not necessarily

We can have sub-sections within the main sections which could add an extra layer of organization but I think that might be a step too far for some people cos you don't want to be endlessly clicking through various sub-categories to find what you're looking for... presumably. That's why I plan to make a thread-based index afterwards which brings everything together because you have a lot of stuff which falls under more one of the current designated categories in truth.

Basically, once we get every thread in a bucket, we can then look at which ones could either be merged with another or even put inside another just so we don't have quite such a long list. It's quite a long one as it is and it's only going to get bigger.

Your threads have been restored to their former glory as well in terms of having links that work now. Any ones which don't will be because the thread no longer exists for whatever reason rather than because it has the links to the old forum in the legacy format.

If I can get through all of the threads replied to in the last calendar year, that will be a nice checkpoint to reach heading into Christmas/the New Year.

The reality is though there will be like 600 pages worth of threads left afterwards so I think what I'll do is chuck the remainder in its own section called The Chopping Block or something as they will all be threads not replied to in years which will be archived off unless anyone can state a case for them. It will also give people fair warning before they disappear as they will be able to enjoy them while they last or take whatever information from it that they want to.

The further back in time you go, the less chance a thread has of having working links etc.

And as far as the very oldest threads are concerned, they won't even necessarily be on the right topic. Some of the threads from 2003 are quite random.

Here's a snapshot of what the board used to look like back then:

As you can see, Niche & Fetish Corner didn't exist back then so it stands to reason some of threads from this time are of a variety of topics.

Yes, but only if those threads that currently are in Talk should be in Talk.

I kind of already touched on this in the second half of post #9.

We need to decide where to draw the line, or what separates a talk thread from a niche thread.

So that's kinda why they are all in the melting pot while we figure this out.

To me, Talk is for discussion, so if it doesn't involve discussion and is just posting pics, then its home should be niche cos it is just like any other type of thread there.

But the thing is, as shown in the old screenshot, the forum used to be structured differently so when some of these threads were created, they were in a different environment and had a different context. Almost all of your examples started out as discussions but have morphed into the more typical pic/link sharing of more recent years.

So there's more than meets the eye on a lot of these but please share your views folks as the whole point of this is to sort stuff out and create a system that works and is easily understandable and not open to intepretation.

In a nutshell:

those threads can be moved to talk if it is determined that it is the best place for it
otherwise, they will need to go their own designated section inside niche, but if so - what should it be called? 🤔

Good news, everyone!

I have completed my pre-Christmas objective of assigning each thread that was replied to in 2024 to a bucket.

Despite saying that I won't be making sub-sections within categories, I'm thinking it might be necessary after all because all the various body parts, types of clothing and sex positions/acts could do with having their own bit so you know where to look. If people don't mind it, we can leave it in but just know that we're only doing it for sorting purposes first and foremost so don't feel like any changes are set in stone.

e.g. just because some of these threads have been given a section, it doesn't necessarily mean they have a place or aren't a duplicate of another thread but these will be reviewed at a later stage of the sorting process

I'm now about to disappear for Christmas but there's no end of stuff you guys could help with in the meantime and I'll process it all when I get back:

Please list any threads you think should be:

- moved (threads which shouldn't even be in this section)
- renamed (some things aren't clear enough or as clear as they could be I don't think)
- merged (many threads exist which are on the same subject)
- closed (inappropriate content)
- archived (inactive, dead links etc)

... and there are a bunch of threads in PLEASE HELP US DECIDE WHERE TO PUT THESE! that you can help to find a home for.

Instead of archiving older threads like I mentioned the other day, I think what I'll do is set a cut-off point where threads no longer display in niche/fetish corner if they haven't had a reply since a certain date. This means you'll still be able to see the threads if you are subscribed to them or have them bookmarked, and they will show up in search results, too. That way, if anyone does reply to an old thread - it can be moved to the appropriate place afterwards because it will stand out for not having yet been given a bucket like all the rest have.
