The Good News Thread

I've been noticing on this forum that people like to post a lot of negative stories which, after enough reading, will make you think the world sucks and not a single decent human being lives on it. I actually believe in the complete opposite. A majority of people, I believe, will do the right thing if given the choice and the minority are the people we read about all the time that ****, ****, mug, etc. Why? Because that kind of news sells. Are you interested in hearing about the person who sees a car pulled over with emergency lights on and they stop to see if they can help and perhaps even change the tire for them? Or just helping out anyone in general.
The other day I saw two elderly women (one in a wheelchair and the other pushing) trying to get up a handicapped ramp at a burger king and she seemed to be having trouble getting her up there. I was in the drive-thru and as I pulled by I was about to keep going then something came over me and I just pulled over into the parking lot, got out and helped them to the door. It only took a minute of my time (even though my food was a minute colder :thefinger) and you walk away with a pretty good feeling.
So I just want to start a thread where we post positive news stories so that we don't have to think that the world is a shitty place where if you leave your house, you have a 85% chance of dying from Obama, global warming, ******, humming birds, pigs, and everything else.

(I am aware that this might be kinda gay but who gives a **** :D )

Here's a theme song for the thread if you don't mind. My all-time favorite song BTW.....

Great idea. And you're right.

Good news, I don't have a STD!!!!!! Yeah

I saw a story today, cant find a link though.
Where during a flag football game for ****(apparently it is some kind of league by Boston) the opposing coach and team along with the home team allowed a five year old boy with down syndrome to run a touchdown in. The boy loves football and just wanted to play, to see **** on both squads helping this little boy along to accomplish this was heartwarming amd showed true class. I thought it was great, although the home team lost. It is something these **** will remember and hopefully be a great lesson for them.

^ that's awesome, there should be no pressure for the **** to play sports.

Parents that live their repressed ********* through their ******** are missing out on the best times on their lives.

Not at all. It's great that you started this thread. It's a nice change of pace to here some good news every once in a while.

Let's get a mod to sticky this tread. And post good news when we need it. Which now days, is all the time. At least for me.

this is going to be a short thread.

I think of life's news as a comparison to the ending of Empire Strikes Back. Think about it, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his ******, and Han Solo gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett. The film practially ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings.

But remember, everything turned out alright in Return of the Jedi! Vader became good again, Luke realized he's made out with his hot ******, and the emperor and the empire were destroyed! Don't think about the rest of the movie though, it sucked.

I think the making out with the ****** part was good if he did NOT know she was his ******. Hey Lando also came back too right?

Yeah, he ended up redeeming himself and became one of the coolest, smoothest characters in movie history.
