but there are so many programs, grants, loans available forpeople deemed poor and people deemed minorities , alcoholics, people on probation, even in jail, ect.
its the working person who may want to change and make more money that gets told " sorry but you made too much money last year to get any help from us"

i know the rote argument against Professor West is that he'll say anything to get in the spotlight, though I'm not sure folks that say that have actually followed him with any regularity.
West endorsed Obama in the 2008 campaign. Shit, nearly everyone was endorsing the rhetoric that Obama was spouting in 2008. However, West has always been a vocal advocate for social justice and many of the illegalities that Obama has been perpetuating.
What West is detailing here isn't an exclusive 'black-only' argument - merely, apologia for economic equality to pump the brakes of people who will cart blanche endorse Obama because of whatever 'association' they might have with Obama (skin color)

I was also gonna chime in and say the same thing, In this here subject there is no racial boundaries, poverty doesn't discriminate, you are either from the "haves" or the "have nots" you either have money (rich / well off) or don't have money aka (po' and need mo') I would like to think that my family has always been of Middle Class decent / upbringing, but truth is I've lived in poverty like the majority of Americans all my life, and by the looks of it, I'm NOT gonna be gettin any closer to the middle class anytime soon... :dunno::2 cents:

Yep, I've dealt with a lot of Black Government workers in my little life.
And in my experience most all government workers suck, especially the ones who's job it is to help people.
But boy have I been treated like shit by a lot of black ones especially.....

The DMV office in East Cleveland has the longest lines, longest waiting time, the slowest response, and the surliest employees out of all those in Cleveland and even the entire state of Ohio. Care to take a stab whether the employees there are black or white?

Not only my own experiences but those from family and friends(at the State university and State gov't) who say the same thing. I used to live in north Florida..........the deep South.........I don't know where you claim to live but from where I hail, my experiences are common knowledge to everyone.
My experiences up North are no different.
