on the calendar, can events be posted, or are only birthdays?

If you look at the calender it's linked to the date of birth section on your profile page. If you try to use the single event link on it you will get a display telling you that your not allowed to. It is because this service is not activated, no other reason.

So I think the answer to your question is birthday's only.

yes, I noticed this and figured as much. I was just wondering if it could be changed...well, I know it can...just wondering if the admins might consider having it for more than bdays...but if that was their intent, then I guess not
