It ended up as a form of chat room and included several posts that were out of line or directly in violation of our rules.

Random Statement thread, and this one and every other thread for that matter, has to follow the rules. I have no problem with members using that thread to "chat" with each other, but they should keep in mind that it's not outside the board and that the rules still apply.
