1) If these fetuses aren't people, why are they able to harvest human body parts? To deny their humanity makes it easier for them to be killed. The road to abolish slavery was due in large part to actually recognizing blacks as actual people. I understand and share your disgust, but the first ring of the chain is murdering the baby. Selling a liver of a dead baby is appalling, but the right of killing that baby is becoming widely accepted, almost a sign of emancipation God knows from what. At least 25% of US women (the number of yearly abortions in the US over the total of pregnancies) should not prove any disgust about this story. If we add all those people, men and women, who are pro abortion i seriously doubt that this story will make it mainstream. A few problems with your Nazi comparison. First, the Jews didn't give consent to the Nazis to harvest their brains. Second, the Jews were subjected to mass extermination. Unless I've missed something I haven't heard of pregnant women being rounded up and mass abortions taking place. Fact: Fetal tissue can be used only with the consent of the woman having an abortion. Federal law stipulates that it is not illegal to donate fetal tissue. What is illegal though is the selling of fetal tissue for profit, of which PP is being accused of. But donating or storing fetal tissue is an expensive process which is why the law specifically states those involved may make and receive “reasonable payments associated with the transportation, implantation, processing, preservation, quality control, or storage of human fetal tissue.” That is what you hear Nucatola talking about in the video when they're haggling over prices. Those are costs related to transportation, processing, preservation, and other expenses associated with biomedical research and practice. Why are there a range of numbers that differ depending on the fetal part? Because the law grants practitioners flexibility in setting those costs, with the key point that they are “reasonable.”

PP shouldn't receive federal funding

As I stated in an earlier thread, the Hyde Amendment prohibits any federal funding of abortion. PP provides a range of different services, mainly for low-income women, such as mammograms, contraception, STD testing, etc. By banning all federal funds it hurts low income women because in some states PP is the primary of women's health services.

Planned Parenthood is not in trouble for trafficking just cells or tissue, they are in trouble for trafficking organs. These organs (and they are organs) do not belong to the donor. The patient is not donating an extra kidney, which would share her DNA, she is donating someone else’s organs. Someone else’s DNA. I have no interest in what a woman does with her body, her DNA, her organs. I have a problem with what women do with another human’s organs, another person’s DNA.

This DOJ will not pursue charges. The states that have adopted RICO laws could go after them, I think there are 30 or so.

In the case of Rocky Mountain, they have counsel advising them. Let's just say that no attorney in their right mind would be advising to proceed with this unless they are being compensated and compensated well.

They have implicated themselves by stating "intact" but if you will notice they refer to counsel so there is an argument to be made that they reasonably thought they were following or skirting the law.

I am certain Ma Richards daughter has been in lengthy consultations with PP legal teams since this broke. Nucatola had better lawyer up now. She seems to be in deep doo doo at least from the standpoint of various state laws.
