The 2024 Paris Olympics

Thinking about those Olympic swimmers in the Seine makes me very thankful to have a nearby lake named Grouse Haven, in the Rifle River Recreation area, near Lupton, Michigan. No houses are on the shoreline. Once a year I swim there, often floating on my back, watching the clouds go by.

Well then...thank the women's basketball team. The gold medal count is a tie at 40 apiece for China and the U.S. We won't discuss the total medal count, though, out of the interests of diplomacy and humility.

I just saw that, and was coming here to post it. I'll only say, we did very well, and our athletes should be proud of how they represented America. Of course congratulations are due to anyone that even made to the Olympic level, and competed. That in of itself is a major accomplishment.
 
For those wondering why breakdancing won't be at LA...

(Yes, I know she isn't personally responsible, but this certainly didn't help their case)
