The only minor flaw I picked up on is when I have a video playing and I move my cursor from the volume symbol to the actual bar to try and lower or raise it, the whole menu disappears.

That is a documented minor FF bug which uses a vertical volume bar for html5 video and it should be fixed with the next FF update. Rapidly becoming a standard, html5 video allows for faster loading and cross browser/device portability and we didn't want to drop it in favor of flash or custom player just for something as little as that bug.
