The best part about cats is, their hunters...they will always have that inner killer. I respect that. I have seen cats leave dead mice in their co-pets food dish. I have received a dead animal from a cat. I have been lucky enough to have 2 different cats, that just had the greatest personalities...sadly, they are both gone, and to my good fortune, gave me MANY years of fun, and companionship. One was about 20, and the other 18...they never shared a house, but both were just great animals. Ain't that the fuckin' truth. The sheer tonnage of fur that I'd brush off the calico that I had for 9 years was truly mind-boggling.
