It is a choice for some. And don't give me that crap about "nobody would choose to be gay because of all of the ridicule they receive" There is not a more celebrated segment of society than the gays.

I would bet that the % of those who choose to be gay is VERY small. And who keeps raising gay children?????????? Straight people do so it isn't learned behavior so don't YOU try to play that shit. You say you have a gay relative who you believe is gay by choice and I have a lot of gay friends. Why don't you ask your gay uncle how celebrated he is when he knows you look at him as some kind of perverted sick fuck or when he's been discriminated against by family and friends and potential employers. I have had friends beaten and assaulted. One of them was walking his dog and had someone throw a beer bottle from a car screaming "faggot" which sent him to hospital with 14 stitches in his head. All for being gay. Sound "celebrated" to you?

They are finally getting some rights but bigots still want to keep them in the closet and keep them from getting married and having kids and adopting children because you guys see them as perverts.

I may have said something a while back that could be construed as judgmental and intolerant. I haven't said anything here that I haven't said to his face. But I love my uncle and would never consider him to be a 'sick fuck'.

I would prefer to not think about his lifestyle and he prefers to keep it to himself. I guess you would berate him for that too, huh? As I mentioned on another thread yesterday, there is a gay employee of our firm that I think the world of.

We disagree on same sex marriage, but he is no where as militant as you are about it.

I am on the side of everyone having things like equal rights to marry and raise kids and equal pay yet the other side is against it all.
