Regarding what I was saying about for whatever reason, a tattoo possibly turning out to not be a good idea years later ...

I remember many years ago when I lived in another city, there used to be this Spanish radio station. It had this DJ Trio Team of 2 guys and a gal. It was once mentioned about this Fan that apparently loved that DJ Trio Team sooooo much that he got a tattoo of them. I don't know where on his body that tattoo was or how big, but nevertheless, he had gotten a tattoo of these 3 DJs. Well, not too long after that ... POW! The radio station was bought out and the format was changed completely. It was now Country music instead of Spanish. Needless to say, the aforementioned DJ Trio Team was shit-canned, never to be heard from ever again. Can you imagine that Fan now with a tattoo of for all practical purposes --- 3 random people now somewhere on his body? :1orglaugh I'm guessing that tattoo was just nnnNOT a good idea.

Nothing lasts forever. The tattoo is a reminder of and tribute to something he loved, now over. I'm guessing he knew when he was getting his tattoo that there was no way the same team would stay broadcasting together for the rest of his life. Yeah, the timing sucks, but I'm guessing he was devastated when the team got taken off the air because the team got taken off the air, but I doubt he thought "Oh no, my tattoo doesn't mean as much any more." Timing was unfortunate, but it doesn't make it a bad idea.

In the same vein, I have an 11 tattooed on me in tribute to a group of people I lived with at that house number, but I got it done 10 years after we moved out. Life moving on doesn't negate the impact something has to the point you want it tattooed on you, I don't think.

For his sake, hopefully he does see things that way. I guess there'd be the other option of covering up the tattoo with another one.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I love them! Both arms are sleeved. Working on a half sleeve on my left leg.

It's not called a sleeve when it's on your leg mo, it's called a leg piece. Which is better then calling it a "pant" I guess.

There is that. I've been considering getting an intentionally shite tattoo, just so I can chance getting on Tattoo Fixers, just so I might get to meet Lou Hopper.
