On October 24th Sunny Leone will be running the Los Angeles Rock 'n' Roll half marathon to help raise money for not only cancer research, but to actually help individuals who are fighting against cancer as well.

My Dad was diagnosed with cancer in Oct 99
He was in the hospital for 118days. He passed away July 26th at 10pm..The doctors worked very hard to make him better.This is a really tough time but my father after two years will be reunited with my mother. As he put it "Our love was written in the stars" The love my father has for my mother is one of a million. He is with her now and wont be in anymore pain.
The reason I am donating my time is because of the amount of love and care that has been given to him in the hospital. Every drop of extra blood donated, love, care, knowledge and skill the doctors, nurses and volunteers have shown is remarkable. It has shown me that I can make a difference in someones life in the money I am raising to fight this battle. I want to personally thank you for all the prayers and support. I prayed everyday that he would make it. He was in ICU for close to 4months and everything that could go wrong did but he kept fighting everyday to live. How he did it I have no idea. Strong, powerful, my hero, my DAD!
I dont expect everyone to donate money because of the economy.At the end of the day, the team goal I have set for myself is the amount of money I will personally be willing to fill if we dont reach the goal. But if I can raise more money from all of you it would truely help.I have learned that your money is going to help individuals and not just for research. If you cant donate then think about what you can do for your community or doing something nice for someone today thats all I can ask for. The "pay it forward" system, then ask that person to do something nice for someone else. Just like the movie
Our team is going to be running 13miles, a half marathon. Something we have never done before. LOL I guess its the least our body, energy and heart can give back to all those who are suffering everyday just to breath. Team Jaspaul has joined the American Cancer Society DetermiNation endurance event program and are dedicating our training and race participation to help the American Cancer fight cancer and save lives. More than 11 million Americans who have a history of cancer will celebrate another birthday this year, and thanks to our efforts, we are helping create a world with less cancer and more birthdays! Which my dad did make it to his 59th birthday July 2,2010 because of all the help given.
Every DetermiNation athlete has their own personal motivation and inspiration for participating just like every person touched by cancer has a story to tell.
