Personally, I say Stewart.

Colbert, Stewart comes across as an uptight prick.

In reality, both.
Stewart actually runs a rather good interview. I think many who appear on his show go in not taking him seriously, thinking of him as a simple comedian. Problem is, the guy seems rather well read, as are his writers.
When Colbert first started, I did not think the ironic act would go on for more than a year. But it has, and has gone on quite well, IMHO.
