I'm sure she feels worse than most people, since she stuck up for the shitbag. But that's a lesson we all learn sooner or later: even when you think you know someone, you never really "know" them.

I am not happy with him right now at all. He told everyone that she died, even close friends. He could have told some of us he was making shit up, which I would not have supported it at all.

I can promise you he will have a ton of people pissed off at him for doing this. The people that work in adult do not ever forget things like this and 10 years from now they will still be hanging this over his head.

Not sure why he could not just take the site down and that was it. No need to fake a death, just say she moved on and retired. :2 cents:

Tawnee Stone is a fictional character that I created in 2001. I've always joked that when her site turned 10 years old, I would kill off her in a tragic accident. So I did. All my friends knew what was really going on. There is no big conspiracy to be found here. If you are offended, tough shit.

That is a pretty stupid thing for him to do. The adult community is not that forgiving.

Isn't there a law against this, I believe it constitutes some kind of fraud or identity fraud. Steve clearly stated his "fictional character" in his death announcement as (1982-2010) but says he created her in 2001. So really it should be (2001-2010), his original death notice claimed (1982-2010) which means he announced the death of Tammy Saris, not this fictional character Tawnee Stone, if I were Tammy I would sue Steve Lightspeed for a Fraudulent Death Claim in this "Joke".

^^^ Frankly, I find Tammy's silence on the subject from the start.....and to this day.....to be quite DEAFENING! I find it hard to believe that if she wasn't aware of the hoax from the start, that she certainly would be aware of it by now! The fact that she hasn't addressed it apparently, seems to smack of complicity &/or of outright approval on her part! But, as I said before, I don't exactly think the most of human nature! But, on the otherhand, I am rarely disappointed &/or left down! I'm rarely surprised either!

Don't worry about it, Jane. He said that his "friends" knew it was all a joke and have no problem with it.

You and others that stood up for him and are ethical human beings are obviously NOT his friends since you didn't know about it from the beginning and DO have problems with it - so you can go on with your life with that awareness.

Two people on a non-porn board I'm on also claimed that they knew Steve Jones, and defended him against those who were becoming suspicious when nothing could be found about Saris having an accident. So don't feel bad.

Based on your previous experiences, you thought he was an OK guy. Now he's shown himself to be a piece of shit. That's all on him - no reflection on you or anyone else.

P.S. Although this is a business decision to be made by the owners/managers of FreeOnes, but why is there still a link to Tawnee Stone's site at the top of this page? Being that this is a fraudulent operation, wouldn't it be wise for FreeOnes to disassociate itself from any Lightspeed operation, just as certain other websites are not allowed on FreeOnes??? I agree, she could have done more to clear things up. But if I was living a quiet life and some shit kicker involved me (or more accurately, a character I had portrayed) in some retarded hoax, I'm not sure that I would jump into the middle of it either. My guess now is that the Twitter message was actually Tammy Saris and she was content that was enough. I can't really blame her for keeping her distance from this fool. Who knows what her relationship (if any) is like with him now. For all we know, he could be dangerous. There's certainly something wrong with him. This is something that a "normal" person would do.
