Steeler's Quarterback

ANyone hae any comments on that idiot rothelisberger? i mean come on you idiot you wear a helmet for a living, and you just wanted to look cool, and now you have only one tooth left, and are pretty banged up and wont play at all this year, hope it was worth it DICK

I never liked him, but I still hope he's not too hurt. He really lucked out, many people don't survive a motorcycle accident.

I don't understand why somebody that has a career where they can make millions of dollars if they stay healthy would even risk it by getting on a motorcycle in the first place or doing any other really dangerous activity for that matter. Can't you wait ten or so years until your done playing then do the dangerous things? If you got crippled and were cut not only would you have to make the money you have so far last the rest of your life (which he hasn't even been in the league that long) but now it would be even harder to do a normal job, and you would have to live knowing you threw all that money away because you did something stupid.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Just wait like 10 friggen years, then buy a bunch of motorcycles........then get into all the crashes you want.
He's just lucking it wasn't worse. It must have been weird for the lady driving the car, having an NFL QB crashing through her windshield.

I have no sympathy for the guy, he was warned before about riding with no helmet and chose to anyway. Like others have said, why would you even Chance it when millions are at stake.

I feel sorry for him. :dunno: He is still a human being who wants to enjoy life right? Its fun to cruise on your bike.... Is he just supposed to be a robot and never go outside? Theres a chance in everything.

Huh, I just heard that he didn't even have a motorcycle license. And I guess that no helmet law in Pitt only applies to people who have had their motorcycle license for at least 2 years.
Nasty, nasty boy.

Totally agree...Kinda interesting that his job involves him wearing a helmet..why wouldnt he wear one while riding a motorcycle?...

Better be self-righteous than call someone a dick for riding a motorbike without a helmet. It's his life. Go ride your own bikes.

Seflrighteousness is a vicious circle. Are you any better telling people who to bitch about?

That sums it all up, he had no excuse except ignorance. And IMO NFL QB's are supposed to be role models, especially Champions.

I haven't been able to find anything about the damage he took to his knees. Has anyone heard anything about that, like if he has a torn ACL or something?

I'm defending someone who didn't do anything to harm anyone. I'm no better or worse than anyone. And neither is he. I defend people who I think are getting shit they don't deserve. If you aren't hurting anyone, I say live and let live. Ben Roethlisberger makes his living on the field, and he's just won the Superbowl. I don't give a shit what he does off the field, and riding a motorbike without a helmet certainly doesn't mean someone's a dick... he's only 24, and he made a bad decision, end of story. :)

Steelers for another championship.

Now off to watch Brasssssssssssssssil

Peace man

Na, your post is all selfrighteous jibber jabber, telling people to bitch about someone else. To bitch about something important. That's exactly what you said. Like people aren't allowed to talk about what's in the news?

But yeah, whatever.

I guess the meat of the damage was all facial fractures. I guess the damage to the rest of his body is minimal.

lost all his teeth but one, broke a sinus cavity, farctured both cheek bones, 9 inch cut oin his head a possibly a knee injury. Yeah he will be back in thime for the first game, if it was to be played in la la land. all i was trying to say is how stupid he must feel for screwing up like that, i know there are worse people out there and much more to bitch about. but this guy is supposed to be a role model and a champion, and he wears a helmet for a living. just dont get it, when i ride even if its down the street i always wear a helmet, its not worth death just so you can look cool. i kind of figured this topic would get at some peole in the wrong way but hey thats why i love americe, freedom of speech.
Good Job Ben see ya next year

It did do harm to a lot of other people. Like all his teammates that get bonuses for making it to the playoffs and the superbowl. Something they won't do with Charlie Batch. Would it have still been ok if he'd have killed someone? It does make him a dick because the Roony's invested a draft pick and a lot of money in him. The Steelers wanted his contract to say he wasn't allowed to ride a motorcycle, but he said he would sign with them unless they took that out of the deal. Furthermore he didn't even have a license to ride a bike. He had a expired learners permit. So he is as bad as a 14 year old driving a car without a license. He could have killed your mom or your son or your wife.

All I have to say is he should have listened to Terry Bradshaw..... He gave him hella good advice a while back...guess he didnt listen......:(
