They're gross, but I get their (apparently) intended purpose. They serve as sort of a boner lever. When you think you're too close to popping, and you (and/or she) really want to keep going at it for a while, just gaze at the pillows for a few secs, and voila, your state of arousal and excitement diminish and you've been pulled back from the edge of cumming!
The best thing to do would be to keep a normal pillow on top of them and then when you need 'em ask your gal to slide the normal pillow off, putting the nasty face in view. After a few secs they can be tucked away again and you can focus on that glorious ass you're actually tapping - hoooray!!!
