Of the moons, the volcanic Io has always been my favorite ever since I did a presentation on Jupiter's moons in junior high.

When you consider that Jupiter is basically a giant gas bubble, it still has enough gravitational power to have moons circulating around it - marvelous.

In comparison to 2001 I think 2010 really falls short.I just never could take Roy Scheider seriously as well as an astronaut/scientist.He should be walking the streets of NYC or fighting sharks lol.Kubrick did not want a sequel made to 2001 and destroyed the original sets to try to prevent it but they did it anyway.

The irony is that I've just met too many people who will oogle these pictures, but then go out and protest the next space probe with a RTG aboard.
And when you try to rationalize things with them and they just can't seem to put 2 and 2 together, and refuse to believe anything.

Good movie by itself, but a shitty sequel. Although I kind of dug seeing Keir Dullea dressed up in his astronaut spacesuit again after all those years. AFA Mirren goes, I think that if I was King Arthur I would have fucked her even if I knew it was my half-sister who was seducing me.
