Abraham Lincoln also from Illinois only served one term in Congress and became one of the best President. Without Abraham Lincoln, there will NOT be a "United" States.
But the problems we face today are different, economy, globalization, trade, China, Russia and regional conflict: Serbia, Iraq, N. Korea, Cuba, South America. Clinton represented the same old, same old Washington politcs, a continuation of Billary polcies. I just hope Bill Clinton does not have a second chance for a BJ from an intern. (Remember BJ is not sex according to Bill Clinton)
Would we know who will win or leading ahead to the nomination by next Tuesday ? I don't know.
I am surprised the big Labor Unions are not able to pull Obama ahead in Ohio. But Mrs. Clinton is showing anger, desperation and conduct of unbecoming a nominated candidate. I was impressed Obama is able to handle the heat and attack on him and turned it around and stood strong.
The attack on Obama willing to meet with rogue nation leaders is rubbish.
Nixon went to China and met with Mao. But no President is willing to talk to Castro, which is only 90 miles off Florida.

Amen to you!! America has always cared way too much about the actions of other countries, but God forbid they ever try to offer an opinion about what we do. I think opinions should be welcome and we should engage the international community to some extent, but it shouldn't go beyond that. I mean, I care who is elected in Canada, Germany or France, for example, but I don't go out of my way to influence elections in those places.
Well for better or worse the leader of the US is different than any other country's leader in his importance.The prez for decades has been refered to as the "most important person in the world".He is the leader of the most powerful country the world has ever known and what type of person he is and his policys have far reaching effects.And I think its very important that we as the country sucking up a disproportianate amount of the worlds resources realize we need others cooperation to be able to maintain that situation.No one is saying that others should decide who our leaders are but we should at least consider others views as we need to be smart and not just flaunt our power and act as though we could care less.We are not self sufficent in many ways and good will and cooperation is in our interest very much.Thats why GWB is probably the worst Prez ever he has no tact,no diplomacy and we are widely resented for it.
