Maybe, maybe not. It depends on how you do "things" (in this case, the leap to HC). Your example of Faith Nelson is right, Her HC videos are not so good (for what I saw) but She is still a very gorgeous woman. I think She went HC in a "goofy" way.
As I said, take a look at Angela White. In the past years She was younger (of course) but not as sexy as She is now. I think that She hired a very good manager to improve Her image, and imho the results are very very good.
