Well, two people who will remain nameless are taking a bit of a break from the Politics and Religion section. I think this might be a nice time for us to discuss some areas where we break from the typical partisan stereotypes as a means of establishing some common ground with each other. I seem to throw in the with the liberal side since I'm not a fan of the Republican social agenda, so I will go first:
I have no problem with otherwise law-abiding individuals who want to own guns for sport or personal defense.
I generally support the death penalty for the standard capital crimes. People can point out that it is unfairly applied to minorities, but that is not a problem with the death penalty itself. We just need to execute more white people.
Political correctness, particularly as it is applied as a means to suppress criticism of certain doctrines within Islam, is a threat to basic Western freedoms and does more harm than good to the people who are most suffering under Islam, being women and minorities.
You get the general idea. Have at it.
