The beauty of the British justice system; there's very little justice in it.
It's illegal for protestor's to protest in front of parliament because they may bother the MPs or make their decisions and choices seem unpopular (& who can complain about the corrupt behavior of a great many of these unelected people sending troops to die in wars which never really had public support? Why shouldn't the MPs simply legalise the amount they were stealing under the expenses system the moment they get caught? It's not as if the rest of the country is poor & out of work...)
I could rape a woman today (not that I would - murder can occasionally justified but I just don't get the point of rape) and confidently expect to go to jail for less than five years.
Should I rob a bank however the statutary minimum is 25 years, a legacy of the great bank robberies of times past.
These days prisons are so overcrowded we simply don't bother sending thieves there - MPs or not.
In fact not so long ago prisoners were paid for being released from prison early (I SWEAR I'm not making this up) on the basis that they needed money to compensate them for being thrown out into the big wide world earlier than planned.
On a less boring note:
Why on earth would you slit a porn stars throat when there are plenty of politicians, businessmen and bankers who've done so much more damage to the nation and are so much more deserving of a slit throat?
In fact, since criminals just get a slap on the risk here in Britain, where crime really does pay, why aren't the chavs busy slashing the tyres of Porsches which are owned almost exclusively by bankers/scum?
