If I knew she was doing this because she just cares about doing something good for children I might not mind that much. This reeks too much of a publicity stunt though. I have too hard of a time trusting her motivation for doing this. Being in the industry she's in while performing said stunt and using children to do it makes it even worse.

Some people sit in a cubicle and type on a keyboard for a living, others fuck on film. In other words, porn acting is a job, an occupation. And not an easy one, either. Not just anyone can do it. Many people would love to do porn for a living, but they discover quickly that the reality of the occupation is far different and far more difficult than what they imagined it would be.

Look, while I lust for Lindsay Lohan, I absolutely would NOT want her reading to MY kids. Just because she doesn't suck and fuck on film doesn't mean she's automatically a better role model than Sasha Grey. This back and forth started between you and I because I just so happened to agree with another poster after they made a very good argument as to why Ms. Grey's appearance in that classroom was inappropriate. You were involved in this thread during the first 4 pages or so and not once did I challenge your opinion that it was no big deal.

I also said that I would object to a representative of a alcohol company reading to the children at which point you decided that military personnel, McDonald's franchise owners and 7 Eleven employees were the greatest threat to children since Jerry Sandusky. Most reasonable parents would not object to a Army recruiter, sports star or even a local restaurateur reading to their children in school. They could be transparent about their career and would not have to cover over or try and diminish what they do for a living to make sure it meets the G rated job description that first graders would require.

That is not to say that strippers, porn stars or alcohol execs cannot be good parents. But even they wouldn't go to the extremes that you have, to legitimize their job as something that should be explained to kids. Sasha Grey came into that classroom with what I am sure were the best intentions but ultimately she either had to misrepresent what she does for a living or she told them about it. I seriously doubt that she said anything beyond that she was an actress. If she told them that, the next question the children probably asked was "What movies or television show have you been in?"

Who I fault more are the people in the school that thought this was a good idea to start with.

No one has characterized porn stars as sub class individuals. And Lindsay Lohan's behavior does not cast a negative light on all mainstream actors or actresses. There is a big difference in how the public perceives those that work in the porn industry as opposed to those that work in mainstream entertainment. As much as you want to bury your head in the sand and try to make it one and the same.

This is not about Sasha Grey - the person. I don't know her personally, so I can't make that call. This is about Sasha Grey - the pornstar... which is what she chose to be, and what she is.

This is about your reputation proceeding you.
This is about what you represent.
This is about her known lifestyle and profession.
This is about principle and standards for children.

I cannot stress enough that porn and kids do not go together at any point and time regardless of who you are. Just because my child does not know anything about you, doesn't mean you should be around my child, especially since I know about you. It's my parental duty to keep my child away from you based on the things you do and the lifestyle you lead. As I said before, I have family members that fall under this very same umbrella. Also, I stated before, this is potentially a very bad spot for Sasha to put herself in, so if it's unnecessary for all parties involved, my child certainly won't be. What Sasha is doing cannot and should not happen, and the practical, ethical, and moral reasoning is something she should have been aware of, IMO.

...and frankly, knowing what she does and what she is generally in to, she should know better. If she was more real with herself, she would know better.
