If a person knows the show and how the ending of each episode generally relates to some discussion within the ep. ...this would have been easy to understand as they didn't need the gratuitous nude scene with the girl who rocks the perfect bush but for to get the chuckle about Turtle and the shaving phobia. Drama makes a big deal about bushes going out in the '80s and here comes gorgeous Sasha at the end with a nice looking bush.
Played into the story line? I think you mean, "Was written into the storyline." And that's fine...good for her, it shows clout. But HBO has no problem with labia. It was not a creative decision.
Sasha's getting the buzz the show wouldn't get otherwise. And she's at least smart enough to recognize that and respond accordingly. So, again, good for her. But let's call a spade a spade.
