Sanctions Against Russia?

Hiliary 2020
Hi,
A few questions if anybody knows.
What are the sanctions against Russia?
Who made this happen?
What are they based on (What did Russia do?)
Can PREZ Trump veto them or dispose of them in any way?
Did Trump have to agree in order to have them implimented?

Thanks

"The bill adds new sanctions on Russia’s defense and intelligence sectors aimed at making it more difficult for the country to export weapons, experts said.

It also targets Russia’s energy sector by giving the U.S. the ability to sanction companies involved in developing Russia’s energy export pipelines. The move drew heavy criticism from European investors involved in the construction of a natural gas pipeline between Russia and Germany that is known as Nord Stream 2.

The bill also limits the president’s ability to scale back any sanctions by enshrining into law sanctions that Obama placed on Russia in December for what U.S. intelligence agencies say was meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

If President Trump wanted to lift sanctions, he would first have to get approval from Congress. Experts said this “congressional review process” is born of worries that Trump would try to act unilaterally.

“The motivation for this part is to constrain Trump and to make sure he isn’t able to strike some grand bargain with Putin,” said Daniel Treisman, a political science professor at UCLA. “It is highly unusual to give the president no leeway to remove sanctions. But he still has considerable freedom to determine how to enforce sanctions.”

The bill also includes sanctions against Iran and North Korea targeting their respective efforts to develop missiles. In fact, the bill was originally created to apply pressure on these two countries. Russia was added only later."

Funny, just two months before he issued sanctions , he was preaching to us about how election rigging and meddling was impossible and that anyone that believed otherwise was whining.

Even though he told Russia to "knock it off" before he gave this typical Obama sermon.

Yeah, Obama was a terrible liar, lots of tells from that cat.

My thing about the sanctions, well one thing, is why is Trump allowing this and/or not speaking out A LOT against them?

On one hand we have Hiliary and the DEMS and the phony Fake News (patent pending) and even traitors like Mccain and Graham still going on about how Russia stole the election and that it wasn't the fact that anyone paying attention for the past 3 decades hates the woman.
( and they arent gonna stop with it until election day 2020. She is going to run again and she will run on "Don't let Russia rob me again" until the minute the pollls open).

So by Trump allowing these sanctions which are intended to hurt Russian civilians more than anything , he is allowing them to push their phony fake lie that Russia stole the election and must be punished.

Fuck it, its all a show anyway.
Now back to our regulary scheduled program.

It passed the senate 97-2, he couldn't veto it. And if he didn't sign it it would have become law on its own anyway.

This was hilarious. He has been desperate for congress to send him literally anything to sign, so he can make a big show of himself, and this is what he gets. A bill that pisses off Putin, who he's terrified of, and shortens his leash considerably (are congressional republicans growing spines???). So he ends up signing it behind closed doors because he would soil his pants if he ever came into contact with an actual alpha.

And then to sweeten the deal, Medvedev comes out and calls him a little bitch!

Baaahahahaha winning!

Queue the drumpf apologists to tell me how it is all part of his 4D chess game....

this from the leftist who was at least honest about his view on the U.S. Constitution. It's an anathema.

I seriously hope North Korea doesn't go through with their threat to nuke Australa. They'd literally be turning a wasteland into a wasteland, but think of the roos and the abos.

And President Trump is trying to adopt his country's (Austraila) immigration policy. fucking idiot.

Once again, he was talking about domestic efforts to bring that about. Like rigged voting machines, fake ballots etc. - because that's what Trump was whining about.

Even though he told Russia to "knock it off" before he gave this typical Obama sermon.

And by now I'm sure you've read plenty about why he chose not to go public with any intelligence on Russian meddling until he did. You may choose not to believe the scenario, but it's not as if it's some wild eyed scenario that requires the suspension of one's reality. It actually (imo) makes sense.

I'm not a leftist. You're an idiot.

And I support Australia's skills based immigration policy. If a shitload of people want to come to your country and you can't let them all in, why not pick the ones most likely to assimilate and be productive? It's common sense. Guess that's why the US never thought of it until others did.
