Rudy Giuliani: President Obama doesn't love America

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
He should take radical Muslims to the woodshed, and I agree with you its pretty pussifed for him not to. We had some Muslims in town for awhile, but they moved on. I never gave them a hard time, but I know a lot of people did.

Take 'em to the woodshed in what fashion? A verbal "nyah-nyah" to them? Threaten them? Tell them to go fuck off? Or is it just that he refuses to make the connection between Islam and these monstrous ISIS assholes? Maybe that would make some of us feel a little better but what real good will that actually do? It's a shame that some of the people up where you live made assumptions about the Muslims and treated them badly if such behavior was unfounded but inflammatory rhetoric from the president would only exacerbate the situation and would likely lead to more bigoted and unwarranted antagonism toward Muslims in general.

Allow me to ask this....who amongst the leadership of either party has made a statement connecting the Islamic religion to ISIS? The fact is, more and more Islamic leaders are denouncing ISIS as not being a representation of Islam. This type of self-policing should be encouraged, not recklessly disregarded just for the sake of not looking "pussified".

In this framework, the former representative of the Egyptian Religious Endowments, Abdul Jalil Salem, told As-Safir, “Al-Azhar is the party that speaks in the issue of declaring a jurisprudent opinion and stance.”

“ISIS surely does not represent Muslims, not even a faction of them. It is just a terrorist organization. It is illogical that this group is the one calling for the caliphate. ISIS’s call on Muslims to immigrate to the proclaimed Islamic state is nonsense, as Muslims live in their own countries, practice their religious rituals and perform their duties and obligations. Why would they be requested to immigrate?” Salem said.

He said ISIS was like other terrorist organizations and was bound to have the same fate.

Interesting read if you have the time, actually. Don't let those Piney Woods rednecks sway you over to the dark side....:1orglaugh

i feel that Rudy has skin in the game in the sense that although this was an attack on all of us and our way of life, Rudy saw the firemen and policemen being hauled off in bodybags. IIRC he attended every funeral he could. But anyway, this is a disagreement that will never be solved. There are a handful of posters
That I respect from the other side of the political spectrum and you and xman are a couple of them. I am very passionate about protecting this country from more terrorist attacks and feel somewhat frustrated that GWB wasted poltical, military capital on a senseless war when we actually do need to be waging war now. I feel Obama isn't willing to do what it takes simply because he wants his legacy to be that he ended 2 wars and I am afraid that ending war at any cost will be quite expensive in the future in both civilian and military lives as well as financially.. I am not just saying these things to be critical of Obama. I am so concerned that we will be hit again that I have divested from some of my stocks and moved them to gold and silver. I don't want to absorb losses in one day courtesy of Ahmed that took 20 years to create. So out of respect for you I will simply say We hold differing opinion and leave it at that.

Fair enough and suffice it to say that the respect and feeling is mutual. I understand and admire the passion of your patriotism but we certainly have differences of opinion as to how this present threat from ISIS and the various extraneous aspects of it should be handled. It doesn't mean either of us are less patriotic....we just disagree on how to approach it.

I get bothered by those who disrespect the office of the presidency. When Bush was in office, even though I was in serious disagreement with damn near everything he did, I never called him names or suggested that that he was less worthy of the regard and respect that the office carried with it deserves (not that you have called Obama names but some on this forum do it routinely). I think those who engage in that type of activity undermine and disrespect our nation in general and I find it despicable. I can disagree with the president without disrespecting him and those in the public eye who would question his love for America piss me off. Giuliani is now on that list as a result of his latest transgression. I guess we can consider the subject closed for the present time. Peace to you and yours.
