Period left out this time on purpose

Thanks for starting the latest FreeOnes fad, no period on the last sentence of a post, you trendsetter you. My problem with your initial post is that it's out of bounds for anyone to assume to know what any other person thinks or feels, particularly an out of context extrapolation. But yeah, I agree with dakdak, there's no point in continuing the discussion

I agree. This is my last post in this thread. This is so stupid. Instead of discussing issues that have real world consequences, we're discussing this bullshit. This is basically a segment you'd find on cable news and I'm frankly sick of it.

How about we try this instead.

How about we don't and just call it even? We get it....you don't hold Mr. Obama in the highest regard. Neither does your hero, Mr. Guiliani. Duly noted.

Oh well. Sorry i didn't write the Magna Carta of responses tonight but how am i supposed to respond to comments like see a shrink or you are obsessed with black politicians with any degree of substance?
No i was not including your post with the responses from the board intelligentsia. Period left out this time on purpose

Geez....you must have had a bad day indeed. I was just having a little fun and attempting to lighten the mood just a bit....obviously, it didn't work. Sorry, I certainly wasn't trying to make you mad. I'll ignore your racially-charged question as being superfluous. I hope your weekend gets better.

I have always thought that you don't try to fundamentally transform that which you love.

I would counter that one doesn't blindly ignore the faults or inadequacies of something one loves either, and when a problem occurs with it people should try to fix it. The only way your statement could hold is if somebody equates "love" with "is perfect and infallible in every way", which would be pretty silly.

so you're a control freak eh? I have never been in love with anyone or anything that was based on what they could be if only they would change to meet my expectations but rather what they already were.
Why don't you liberals just be intellectually honest and admit that you believe that America was built on white supremacy and bullshit Christianity and that it is a fundamentally flawed country.

I'm bailing out of this thread if you are going to continue to attempt to dominate it with baseless absolute assertions like this. Your attitude and response to D-rock's post is really uncalled for. He indicated nothing of the sort. The entire history of the USA is accentuated with transformation on both sides of the political spectrum. To contend anything less is just plain wrong. I'm really not sure what your goal is here other than to throw as much mud at liberals as you can and hope that some of it sticks. You're doing a good job of living up to your avatar IMO.

I have responded to 4 or 5 comments directed at me that could be considered the shit slinging variety yet for some reason you feel the need to interject in those too. I don't even think that I commented on your posts except maybe once or twice and that was in response to you calling Giuliani a senile old man. I certainly have not been confrontational except to say that I feel your outrage toward him is misdirected. I guess using the term "liberal" when assessing the deep resentment that many on the left have for this country's founding has hit a nerve. You lumped yourself in with that group I didn't. So if my statement is wrong, please inform me of the things that liberals hold near and dear about this country. i would love to hear some of those warm and fuzzy feelings about America expressed by liberals, because our president sure has a hard time doing it.

care to tell us about all the things that you feel makes America such a great country?

What makes America great is that we are 300 million people that is multi-racial from any other nation in the world. All have contribute to the building of this nation from intellectual and fighting from the greatest generation.

After WWII this country advance in the modern age. Under Ike when the parties ideology was flipped flopped from today’s stance the 1% was paying their fair share in taxes and Ike took that and built up the infrastructure with the great IS highways that we have today,

Then LBJ tried to bring reason to the democrats side and the south revolted and started to flood the GOP with radicals because they felt betrayed by LBJ’s social justice talk. The same party that made the vote for the GOP who were called carpet baggers after the Civil War and since Reagan has Lincoln rolling over in his grave IMO now.

Reagan brought greed. Started the union busting with the air controllers strike that after the end of the 80s was pick upped with other left wings nuts like Newt Gringrich, But Newt worked with Clinton and even though Clinton is a SOB President of all time, America return with everyone at least well off to raise their families in a way that provided comfort. Even though the Dot.Com boom was the leading economic driver engine.

Today the flip flop and people holding a strong interest for one side is the problem. I’m called stupid for critical thinking about the Koch Brothers. But these guys are a problem. ALEC is a problem. Because as my 60 year old dad always told me is true. America is not broke and some only care through business is to stack more like a drug dealer with money that will buy everything they want but won’t bring them joy.

The problem is greed in America and not family as greed has made a vast majority now lonely and materials goods now fits the bill. And wealth over health. Like the lady in the NYC area that caused a train derailment worried about her Mercedes SUV damage still on the tracks. That car meant everything to her as status in today's greed motivated American society.

Hey, MustBeStupid. If America's not broken, why does it need a fundamental change?

Couldn't agree more.

huh? What? lol

Want to try again? Next time try and just focus on what in your opinion makes America great and why you love it without all the crap about those who make it unbearable haha.

But the former mayor did not say whether he alerted police to these phone calls and CNN has no way of confirming that.

So, when there's no evidence and no way to confirm or invalid his words, would you trust a politician ?

Then i bet the Oscars tonight makes you want to sing America The Beautiful from the top of your lungs
