In case anybody's interested.
If the sheeple really want hope and change they'd smoke weed and not pay their taxes.
fixed.
Could the Tea Baggers/ Libertarians/ Ron Paulluters be any more irrelevant?
Their solution to the nation's health care: "Obamacare is bad!"
Their solution to the budget crisis:"Bail outs are bad!"
No, seriously, what is their solution to the budget crisis? "Don't pay taxes, don't fill out the Census form!"
What are we going to do about Afghanistan? "..."
OK... "Investigate 9/11!"
How are we supposed to do that? "Close down the border, stop illegal immigration!"
But we don't have any money and you think government is bad, so...
"Legalize pot!"
Ah fuck it.
fixed.

It's easy to be the party of "against" or "no" without offering legit alternatives.
How is this a "Party of No" or "Tea Party" thread? During the speech, Huckabee supporters were booing him and chanting "Ron Paul sucks." He was boo'd for saying that Obama's a Corporatist and not a Socialist. Go to a Tea Party rally and see who is favored more, Paul or Huckabee.
I love how Ron Paul is being credited as both the leader of the Tea Party pitchfork and torch crowd AND the stoner-hippie 9-11 conspiracy nut crowd
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihCP3cfS88EHas Ron Paul EVER suggested that 9-11 wasn't an Al Qaeda operation
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZl6202HJGQHas he ever insisted people not pay their taxes?
http://board.freeones.com/showpost.php?p=4056202&postcount=1Has he ever advocated pot use?
http://www.ronpaul.com/2010-03-08/ron-paul-on-the-census-2010/Has he ever suggested people not fill out the Census?
http://www.ronpaul.com/on-the-issues/health-care/Did he suggest repealing Obamacare?
Talk about irrelevant. And yet, like an idiot, I respond to this knee-jerk, uninformed nonsense
I think some people must have slept through HS civics class... It's not that governments can't do things, it's that the Constitution specifically LIMITS what the FEDERAL government can do... at least until the last 80 years of chipping away at it by the "liberals." States have MUCH more leeway to run as many entitlement programs as they like.
And with the mammoth, expanded Federal government, what do we get? A giant, broke, power hungry bureaucracy that cannot be controlled anymore.
It's almost as if those old white guys who wrote those documents back in the 1770s knew something from studying philosophy and history or something....
I cannot rep him so DITTO
Why thank you kind sir.
And for those of you who don't think BHO really meant "change" when he said it, here's a quote for you to mull over while he looks for a justice to sit on the highest court in the US, a body that is supposed to safeguard our individual, Constitutionally-guaranteed rights:
On Jan. 18, 2001m on Public Radio WBEZ-FM, Chicago, Obama complained that the Earl Warren Court "wasn't that radical" because "it didn't break free from the essential constraints placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution. ... The Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and serve more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society."
Still want hope and change?? I'll keep my rights, and try to keep my money that I EARNED thank you very much. :thefinger
