Is somewhere outhere.
Talk about flooging an "old" dead horse.

I can see the end to all end of the Rocky genre.

Rocky going out like Muhammad Ali - in a wheelchair, but Ali was
the best boxer miles ofcourse :thefinger

Too right - the man is a LEGEND! Which makes Ali's condition today all the sadder...destroyed by the profression that made him an icon....:(

Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Shavers, Holmes - I despair now when I think of today's heavyweights.

[edit] apologies for going OT - :ban:
As for Rocky Balboa, I'll wait until it appears on SKY Movies

I saw it. I won't spoil it, but it is a worthy, respectable ending to the series. It actually works because of his age, and it makes Rocky an underdog again. It's probably hands down the best one since the first.

For me, if I had to rank the movies:

I > VI > III > II > IV > V

Does he still take 100 punches to the chin before he hits his opponent back??? :dunno:

The fight itself was good (it was kinda filmed like a HBO boxing match) and is probably the most realistic Rocky fight yet. Antonio Tarver (who plays Mason "The Line" Dixon in the movie) is a good boxer, and him and Sly made it work. Again, I won't spoil it, but it really is a truly fitting end to the series, and especially the character.

I'm really indifferent to whether there should or shouldn't be a movie...it doesn't matter, the movie's there anyway. That being said, I do like the fact that this movie is being used to expand on the character himself and not trying to remake something that has already been done before.

I liked it. I agree with everything ILoveLanny said.
It ends the series in a great and very respectable way.
People in the audience were cheering and yelling "Go Rocky!" & then everyone clapped when the credits came up.
For a feel good movie, this one is great.

So I take it he won the fight then with typical slapstick comedy.I'll watch out for it
