Yes, me too. He was a 20th century explorer in the best sense of the term.

It would be nice if they could let his ashes go on the next shuttle mission.

He was played by Lance Henricksen in "The Right Stuff", I guess that's how I remember him. Now he's gone exploring beyond the real final frontier. May he rest in peace.
