I cannot stand the man.
I hated The Office and I hated Extras. I have never seen an interview with him in which I felt that he was in any way sympathetic - just pathetic.
He is a true wanker in every way and I avoid watching him now. I just don't understand how anybody can find this rude, arrogant arsehole in any way funny. I used to think that it was just an act - possibly it is, but I have NEVER seen him portray himself in any other way, either on screen, on film or in any interviews either given or received.

I've watched Ghost Town and found it funny. Beyond that nothing else of his. Oh. As well as the GTA IV bit he is in. He's alright. Nothing long term in liking I know.

The only thing thats funny about Gervais in that program is his stupid

Ricy Gervais is and always will be a televised embarassment to entertainment and an all round cunt.
I dont mean that in an uninformed attacking sense, Ive watched his stuff and he is just not funny. I even had a look through one of the books he wrote a year or so ago, Im not sure if it was a childs book or an adults book written ina childish way but it boggled the mind. Fine, hes not funny, end of story. Why call him a cunt though? The smug "Im so awesome" manner he projects about himself, if a person has the merit to act that way, fair dues. But this man has an infuriating demeanour that begs a kick in the teeth.
Its like that Mitchell and Webb show, considered funny by the masses, prime time slot and rave reviews. I sat through an entire episode (mercifully not at the required gun point it would have taken normally) with a group of people and sweet jesus you could have heard a fucking pin drop!
