In "free" Germany I got a problem: The site http://masochist.com
suddenly got the status "unknown" (Unbekannter Rechner masochist.com). But "Sedo" and "Who is" tell me the site is online.

Can you do me the favour and check this site?
Is it also unreachable from your country?

That because the site was removed. Because it's offensive in some way in the country it was been hosted in. So they made them shut it down.

That's his question why?

What he didn't realise though, it was completely removed and not just blocked by his Government. Hence why no one can see it.

This is what happens when something people don't agree with is posted. It will take awhile for internet companies though to pick up on the fact the site has been removed.
