Sucks fucking ass. Just thought I'd vent to you guys.

Now this isnt from a lack of skill, no. I can own anybody in first person shooters, console or PC... I just beat Guitar Hero 1 & 2 on hard without any hangups.. but my friend bought Res Evil 4 on a whim (I've beaten every resident evil EXCEPT 4 because I heard it totally jumped the couch as far as gameplay and there ARENT ANY FUCKING ZOMBIES! You ... actually buy items! That's not a resident evil at all. BUT! I decided that I would finally play it, seeing as how I kicked every other game's ass.. even considering that RE3: Nemesis was complete bullshit. You're given 12 bullets and expected to fight a boss/the boss every 12 minutes the whole game and also deal with the usual enemies.

Soo.. since the game was around, I went at it.

All my worst fears were found to be TRUE! Cheapest bullshit I've played. Ever.

It's like they took all the cheap horseshit from RE3 and all the best part of.. oh wait, no. They just took the BS from 3 and ramped it to the max. A headshot isnt a headshot. The virus isnt a virus. You cant even read half the buttons you need to press in the action sequences before you die because you were too late pressin' em!

I've said it since the beginning of gaming.. cheap bullshit isnt a valid substitute for actual DIFFICULTY. If it wasnt my friends game, I would've used it for target practice, already. I say fuck capcom not only for resident evil, but the street fighter franchise has also gone to ****.
 
I've never gotten into the resident evil games much anyway. Street fighter hasn't been the same since the original 2. Guitar hero 1,2 and 3 aren't that hard if you practice enough!

So if your so into video games, why don't you ever post anything about them in other video game threads?

Resident Evil has been the best horror game series on the market. Resident Evil 3 is the best of them all in terms of story and game play. I own Resident Evil 4 on the PS2 and I have written long reviews about it. 4 is more action oriented game, but still one of the best games around for the PS2, but for the PC version the game is still playable, but not as good the Gamecube or PS2 version.
 
I agree with Torre82min. RE4 is boring. Some cool Action parts. But mostly a game for **** and not for fans of the Horror Genre. The Story is flat, the enimies are boring and sometmes I have thougt I play an soccer game from the early eighties. "Press Button XY to run and then press button Z and Q at the same time to escape, but don't forget to hold XY". What kind of **** is that for? But anyway, the truth is that I will play the next part as well like the other parts :-)

RE3 was awesome. Except for the nemesis appearing every 2 seconds. He creates tension because you never know when he'll appear. BUUUUT.. in standard Capcom fashion, you cant get 100% unless you beat him every time. At least 3 times thru the game. Without using the weapons w/ inf. ammo that you EARNED. Going as fast as you can thru the game. Blah blah.. RE3 had good story, yes. But very scarce on the ammo no matter how conservative you were.

RE2 is excellent all-around. RE1 is still great, and the gamecube remix throws a lot into that mix. Still very cheap, but to remake the original so that you *generally* know what's around every corner is a good thing.

RE4.. blech. Press L1 + R1. Repeat. Buy guns from one of the bad guys! But.. he doesnt sell ammo. Save Ashley! ... for the next five minutes until she's ********* again. The control setup took a step forward but they nerfed the *** power like little assholes. Humans? No zombies? Humans taking five shots to the body? Hell, even the zombies couldnt take much of that.

So the ***** is useful now? OHHHH.. for the first quarter of the game. Right.

And I get to play as Ada? But the story is pretty lackluster and the cheapness ramps up? Yup. The makings of a classic!

Yeah. Let us see how many people would think it's a classic if you had to restart from a savepoint after dying. The thing practically ****** you to memorize the story and chokepoints while playing. Replaying parts over and over.. memorizing the game.. that just jerks me out of the story and ***** my suspension of disbelief. Hmph.
 
It's only for fun, you can use all the weapons you got, if you got ammo.

lol he just to show off :1orglaugh but quite fun to see a final boss beaten by just eggs
 
The one thing that really annoys me about Resident Evil 4 is that you CANT MOVE AND SHOOT AT THE SAME TIME!! Seriously, if a village full of crazy people are chasing you with axes and torches would you STAND PERFECTLY STILL and shoot your ******??

Anyways, this game was made to be played on the Gamecube. The PS2 version has bad graphics, and is all blurry. You can't read anything. The game, IMO, is best on the Wii because of the controls. Seriously, this game totally lends itself to the Wii with the shooting mechanics, and is a LOT of fun to play.
 
I loved RE 4, but can't wait for Resident Evil 5 to come out!! And have preorder Premium Link Upgrade online
I thought RE4 on PS2 was awesome and i've seen the trailers for the new one and it looks even better.

Yea, the RE series has always been scarce in the ammo department. I for one love to go into a game and lay down some lead!

Anyway, I am looking forward to RE5 now that I have a tv, where dark rooms in a video game are actually pitch black!!! That will add a lot to the game I'm sure!
 
I found that RE1 using Chris instead of Jill was too hard because of the lack of ammo, but I will have to try it again one day.

RE2 - can't really remember that one much

RE3 - was that the one with the firstinter linking story lines between the two characters or was that 2?

RE4 - my fav by far

RE5 - want it, but not whilst the PS3 is so expensive.
