Why sometimes those little squares next to the rep are in "red" in stead of "green" ??

Red is negative rep. The stones are red because the person has been given so much negative rep, his total amount of rep is below zero.
What is the grey rep box that sometimes appears in your profile next to what you've been repped for?

Grey means you don't have positive rep or negative rep. Below 0 is negative (red), 0-99 is grey, and 100 and above is positive (green). You get 1 rep for every 100 points.

I don´t think that´s what he asked about. A far as i can understand the grey rep boxes next to the comments are rep made by members that have been banned or decided to close their accounts.
Gray stones can also be from people who haven't gotten any rep power yet because they haven't reached 100 posts. I think once they get rep power the stone turns green, or at least that's what I understand

Do what it says!! You have to give rep to other people before you can give it to a person you already have given it to again.
Ok I understand that I dont have enough posts yet to get rep points. My question however is this. I am still learning my way around here and when I see a good post esp something that is informative for me I give that poster a Rep. Does my rep that I gave them count even though I cant get rep yet?? Thanks.

You can still give rep, you just can't affect someone else's score yet. So if you come across someone who you want to give rep to, they can still see your comment.
Check that, stones don't turn green when someone reaches 100 posts, they stay gray forever.
