Repeal 1 piece of US legislation

OK guys, so imagine : You've been given the power and the responsability to repeal a piece of US legislation, any piece, wether it's a bill passed by congress, a decision from the Supreme Court, an amendment to the US Constitution or whatever.
The only limit is that it must be a piece of FEDERAL legislation, so it can't apply to state legislation such as Colorado's legalisation of pot or Florida "Stand Your Ground" law.

So, which piece of US legislation would you repeal ? Patriot Act ? Obamacare ? Hobby Lobby ? Roe vs Wade ? Citizens United ?

I would overturn Executive Order 7532 signed by President Roosevelt in 1937 establishing the Shinnecock Migratory Bird Refuge in New York.

Because fuck those birds.

For me it would be a hard choice between getting rid of the Patriot Act, or totally changing this country's tax code to make it much less trickle down friendly and to make it much closer to what we had in the 60s if not even much more progressive.

So many choices but two good ones.

16th Amendment is the one that came to mind first.

Patriot Act is a good one - didn't think of that until I read D-Rock's post.

Since we are talking judicial rulings also, I will go with....

Hilfiger v Klein

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
The Cranston Amendment.

Doesn't feed trolls and would appreciate it if you
The Cranston Amendment.

How did I guess?

This is a great question. One that I can't readily answer. The Patriot Act is a good obvious one, but that shit goes back much farther and deeper than just that Act. I haven't the time to do the proper digging, so I'll stick with it for the time being.

I can think of a lot of them but the Controlled Substances Act would be a good place to start.

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
The Federal Firearms act of 1934. Chicago typewriters for EVERYONE!!!!

Bush vs Gore was my first choice but knowone beat me to it. A world Dubya was never president?

How about a Supreme Court Precedent that we want ENFORCED?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_responsibility
In re Yamashita the US Supreme Court found a Japanese General guilty of war crimes committed by his subordinates, all the way down to front line soldiers. Quote: "vengeful actions are widespread offences and there is no effective attempt by a commander to discover and control the criminal acts, such a commander may be held responsible, even criminally liable."

In other words, even if you didn't order them or even have any knowledge of the acts being committed, you as the commander could be executed for the crimes.

Of course, when the shoe was on the other foot and it was US commanders that were being prosecuted for the same crimes, from the Vietnam War all the way to the Iraqi war and even the CIA fiasco today, they've considerably watered down the requirements. Heck, the CIA torture report pretty much threw this precedent out the window, because if they upheld it, Cheney would be on death row right now.

I would repeal any fucking treaty with France and send in a SEAL team to destroy your home. The three items in bold are U.S. court cases NOT legislation, although it could be argued that Roe v Wade was judicial legislation used by an opportunistic minority of people who love to murder babies.

Why don't you worry about your own fucked up country and we'll worry about ours?

And I would repeal any law that put restrictions on the 2nd amendment.
